You are Outspark’s film stars!
Thanks for being Outspark’s new Film Star.
On Saturday 23rd May 2026 at Ascott House National Trust, you will be joining the Outspark team in making a new promotional film. This will track the endeavours of a brave group of Duke of Edinburgh participants whilst on expedition; cooking meals, pitching tents, solving challenges and orientating maps along the way. With a film crew from Framewise, Teachers from the school and two members of staff from Outspark, we will create a short film illustrating the DofE experience.
I’m a parent - what do I do?
Other than dropping off and collecting your children (see above), not much. The most important part at this stage is to make sure the consent form (below) has been completed. The Outspark team, film crew and school staff will look after the group for the day (much like on a DofE expedition, minus the film crew…) and will involve them in the direction of the video. If it’s helpful, we’ve provided a Kit List that could help your child look the part and make the video as authentic as possible.
If you have any further questions about the day, then please contact Kirsty Smith at the school on ksmith@cottesloe.bucks.sch.uk
Outspark takes safeguarding and wellbeing seriously and you can read our Filming & Photography Policy by following the link.
What happens next?
We are meeting at Ascott House National Trust site at 9am on Saturday 23rd May 2026 at the side entrance, on Leighton Road, near Wing - see image/map below. The entrance highlighted by the blue circle is the right one to meet at. Before you arrive, you will need to have completed the consent form which you can access on this webpage. We will be planning, filming and discussing direction for the whole day and you will need collecting at 7pm. We will be providing lunch, snacks and dinner, so all you need is a water bottle, appropriate clothing for the weather and any medication you might require. Outspark will bring all of the equipment and props needed to make it look like an authentic DofE expedition.
